Through extensive rituals, their suspicions would be confirmed with the help of the Chaos Collective as they would intercept a Taken directive to the center of the Vex domain. While they had no numerical influence on Sumeragi's expeditions within the Vex Domain, it would be the Cult who would suggest the counter-subjugation of Quria in the hopes of afflicting the Last City personally in revenge for Nikros. As the forces of Mara Sov and Xivu Arath clashed, many of the Cults members, enraged by and impatient with inaction by their leadership, would desert to Xivu Arath's forces in the hopes of being ascended by the War God. Not only did the Cult infiltrate Xivu Arath's forces, but they also would enter the Ley Lines in which they inhabit, where they attempted to secretly modify their arsenal and magics in the hope of empowering them against their mutual enemies, but to disable them whenever war came to them. In collaboration with the Chaos Collective, the group would begin exploring the Ley Lines in search of potential nesting grounds and attack points, but would be reversed with the disappearance of one of their allies's Vex Minds. Following this mysterious vanishing, the Cult continued their investigation where they would finally come across an outcropping bearing the likeness of Europa, where they would finally nest and plot their attack on the icy surface of the dark moon. | |||
