Balance in Disarray
As the forces of Mara Sov and Xivu Arath clashed, many of the Cults members, enraged by and impatient with inaction by their leadership, would desert to Xivu Arath's forces in the hopes of being ascended by the War God. Not only did the Cult infiltrate Xivu Arath's forces, but they also would enter the Ley Lines in which they inhabit, where they attempted to secretly modify their arsenal and magics in the hope of empowering them against their mutual enemies, but to disable them whenever war came to them. In collaboration with the Chaos Collective, the group would begin exploring the Ley Lines in search of potential nesting grounds and attack points, but would be reversed with the disappearance of one of their allies's Vex Minds. Following this mysterious vanishing, the Cult continued their investigation where they would finally come across an outcropping bearing the likeness of Europa, where they would finally nest and plot their attack on the icy surface of the dark moon.

The Risen Queen
Following the Exorcism, the Cult, despite their severed ties with the original Hive progeny, would feel the death of Savathûn. However, to many members of the cults surprise, they would, instead, find the god of trickery alive and now, along with the bulk of her forces, empowered by the Light. Despite their best efforts, many of the Cult was incapable of infiltrating the Lucent Brood's ranks and, therefore, could not uncover any of their tactics and weaponry. While the promise of power in the Light was tempting, much of the Cult's forces remained loyal in the face of Nova's philosophy. Throughout the conflict, the Cult mainly attempted to survey it by proxy through many of the Lucent Brood's operations across the system, from Earth to the Moon. Eventually, they would discover the Hive plot to invade Earth using a portal by the Scarlet Keep through scrying rituals and would use the chaos of the final confrontation to steal some of the Brood's personal tactics and rituals with the Light in the hopes of reverse engineering it and developing more effective Light-combative magics. Ultimately, however, the Lucent Brood's newfound loyalty to the Light kept the Cult from being more involved with the war, but were still able to glean some new tactics from it.
The Haunted
When word came in from the Black Legion that Calus's personal flagship, the Leviathan, has returned and was making its way to the Earth's Moon, many within the Moon's numerous enclaves feared the ship was coming for the satellite itself, and so fled through their Ascendant plane pockets. However, instead, they found the ship merely parked outside the world's atmosphere and soon uncovered that the ship was actually drawing power from the submerged Lunar Pyramid below. While the House of Shadow and the Black Legion were engaged in covert research operations aboard the ship itself, the Cult surveyed the connection between the Pyramid and Leviathan, eventually learning of Calus's "ascendance" with the help of the Witness. Despite the intelligence the cult gleaned through the connection with the assistance of Hidden Swarm technologies, however, the Cult would mostly remain uninvolved with the incident.
