After entering the Dreaming City, Petra soon discovered the cause of Uldren's corruption: the [[Ahamkara]] [[Riven]] had been [[Taken]] and now infested the heart of the [[Keep of Voices]], and that [[Kalli]], [[Shuro Chi]], and [[Sedia]] were also Taken. In addition, Taken and Hive infested much of the city while Scorn also invaded. She was soon joined by the Guardian and met them at the [[Oracle Engine]], which she intended to use to contact Queen Mara and inform her of all that had happened. Petra discovered that the offering to the Oracle was missing and requested that the Guardian look for it. She then explained some of the history of the Dreaming City to the Guardian, including how it was evacuated just prior to the Taken War and locked down until everything was supposedly safe.
