 *Golgoroth's name may be inspired by the [http://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/Ered_Gorgoroth Erd Gorgoroth] Mountain chain in the north of Beleriand, named such by the Sindar of Doriath after the spider-creature Ungoliant made it her temporary home, and wove webs which sucked away all light and poisoned the land, much like Golgorth's Ogre's Venom ability. Both of which could have come from the Biblical location Golgotha (Hebrew).
 *Gol-Goroth is also the name of a Cthulhu Mythos deity, described in one form as a colossal black toad with an impossibly malevolent gaze.
-*Golgoroth may be what Ogres are supposed to look like as he is guarding Oryx's throne room and has no bumps on his face and fires much faster than any other Ogre, as he has three sets of "horns" on this head. He is able to move these on his own accord to guard his weak spot on his head or move them constantly possibly to intimidate the team. Why he was these "horns" is unknown. During the fight when Golgoroth focuses on a Guardian during the damage phase he closes these horns over his head and his chest opens up for the other five Guardians to attack. This chest weak spot has white liquid that looks very similar to Vex Radiolaria. This may be why he looks so unique as the Radiolaria mutated him. Further evidence is that the Vex invaded Oryx's ascendant realm for a time and may have infected some Hive to Create some of the other unique enemies in Oryx's ascendant realm such as [[Adept|Adepts]] and Golgoroth's unique look.
