During the second annual [[Guardian Games]], Gene and the other members of the [[Death Dealers]] managed to acquire Lord [[Shaxx]]'s missing horn. They sought out the bookie [[Park'kesh]] to place a bet on the [[Hunter]]s winning the games with the horn as collateral, but Gene was infuriated when Park'kesh and his bodyguard [[Tulnik]] did not recognize them. He demanded the two show respect to the Death Dealers and further outraged when the bookie mocked the name. He snarled at Park'kesh and gathered [[Arc]] energy to strike at him, but the fireteam's [[Gunslinger]] stopped him and reminded him to use his breathing exercises to calm down. Agreeing that the bookie was not worth it, Gene began pacing around the plaza with his hands on his head and exhaling loudly while his friends negotiated Park'kesh.
