'''Socales, Gate Keeper''' was originally created by the Aphix Subjective, and give to the Hezen Collective as a replacement for [[Zydron, Gate Lord]] after its defeat by the [[The Guardian|Young Wolf]]. It was created after the defeat of [[Atheon, Time's Conflux]], and tasked with defending the Vex gate at the [[Endless Steps]]. | |||
Socales was first encountered by the [[Awoken]] when they received reports of drastically increased Vex activity on Venus. The Awoken were sent in to see what the Vex were doing, and they determined that the source of the Vex aggression was the gate at the Endless Steps. [[User:I Exist|Seja]] and a group of other Guardians eventually encountered Socales as it was deployed from the gate, and were able to take it down. | |||
With Socales's destruction, Seja was able to release a probe through the gate that began to map out the area it led to. After the Guardians left, Socales's body was retrieved and brought back through the gate.
