This year she has all types of treats for sale like various masks, various grab bags, and the [[BrayTech Werewolf]]. Like the previous Festival, guardians returned to the haunted forest on [[Mercury]] to defeat terrors (previously called nightmares but with [[Shadowkeep]] around that would be confusing) and to clear branches, earning them candy and chocolate strange coins in the process. The Festival also included a whole new set of [[Triumphs]] to earn that could only be completed during the event.

After the release of [[Beyond Light]], Festival of the Lost was majorly revamped, abandoning the idea of the Haunted Forest in favor of the new [[Haunted Sectors]], in which you must stand in a summoning circle in order to summon [[Headless One]]s. Defeating a Headless One would convert your spectral pages into manifested pages, which could be used to obtain the books [[Lore: Tales of the Forgotten]] and [[Lore: Tales of the Forgotten - Vol. 2]]. Once you killed 10 Headless Ones, a boss would be summoned. Once its health is depleted to certain points, it puts up a shield that only pumpkin charges that dropped from defeated Headless Ones could break. Once the boss was defeated, players could run up to the chest that spawned in order to claim their loot.
