There are currently no official reports as to the content of Destiny 2, but Bungie will most likely release teasers and small hints throughout 2017, leading up to the release of the game. This is most likely a strategic move to not over-inflate the hype related to the game's release like when the original game was released and content had to be added in over time, much to the chagrin of the player base.

The game will feature downloadable content, but those are going to be released after the base game.<ref>[http://www.polygon.com/2017/2/9/14568496/destiny-2-2017-release-date-confirmed-activision '''Polygon''' - ''Destiny 2 still on track for 2017 release'']</ref>
