As the Guardians discover Mars' reappearance into the Sol system, several fireteams were deployed to survey the planet, several Darkness related structures were discovered and research teams began researching their findings. In addition, [[Cabal]] forces began deploying across the planet, setting up defenses for an unknown reason, but soon discover Savathûn's flagship decloaking and began engaging the cabal. A guardian, however, managed to board the flagship and reported a terrifying finding; several Hive knights wielding the light and worked with ghosts, granting them immortality and access to the lights powers, called the [[Lucent Brood]].
