Even after the downgrade, the Suros is still a capable weapon in the Crucible and in the lower level Strikes (Level 22 and under), largely due to the fact that it has low recoil, ample magazine space (33 rounds)and high impact rounds upon upgrade. Once the player competes in higher level matches like the Vault of Glass and the Weekly Heroic or Nightfall Strikes, the downgrade becomes more apparent and can affect kill score negatively in relation to other players' in the match.
