Several months after the battle on the Moon, a fleet of the [[Pyramids]] venture into the system, with one of them touching down on [[Io]]. The power of the Pyramid beckons Eris there, and she heeds the call to learn whatever she can. When she reaches Io, her attempts to hear the Darkness are disrupted by [[Savathûn, the Witch-Queen|Savathûn]], who sends Hive and Taken to stop her. She is slowly overwhelmed and the Guardian, who is following her on Zavala's orders, is [[Ascendant realm|cut off]] from her as they take separate routes through the [[Cradle]]. Though injured, Eris manages to overcome the Witch Queen's power as she finds a tree of Silver Wings, with a seed of dark power at its base. She tries to claim it but finds she can't touch it, and is forced to let the Guardian have it. She then heeds Zavala's summon and meets him in his office, where she debriefs him before preparing to return to Io. Though he pleads with her not to go any further, she leaves determined to figure out what Savathûn and the Darkness want. | |||
