:I'd question this obviousness. Besides the more relevant fact that they keep appearing for people who have done King's Fall, Oryx is using the power of the Darkness to make the Taken. :You're correct. It's one of Eris's interchangeable quotes at one point during The Sunless Cell strike. I think she says it when you come to the long bridge that leads into the boss chamber, but I'm not sure. As already noted in this article's intro, the Taken decay, but (like the zombies in The Walking Dead) they linger forever until they're killed. ::I believe that any Taken with sufficient intelligence remaining can effectively assume control of the Taken, now that Oryx is gone. Why else would [[Malok, Pride of Oryx]] and [[Alak-Hul, the Darkblade]] pose such a significant threat to the Guardians? Though I believe only this is restricted to Taken [[Hive]] of sufficient age and power, otherwise one of those Zealots would be a threat also. The [[Cabal]] Taken would surely fit this role well, since they're the most organized militaries in the solar system.
