They use this ability to enter engagements, or to reposition themselves after being fired at. They seem to have a cooldown between uses. As an ability, this move can be stopped though [[Void|Suppression]]. [[Arc|Blinding]] and [[Stasis|Freezing]] effects also seem to work.
