Okay, I saw a comment on the Bungie Forum that got me to thinking, & I took a closer look at the concept art of the Cabal and Fallen patrol searching for the Hunter. Upon further examination, I have to agree that it looks less like an "alliance" and more like the Cabal & Fallen in that picture are reanimated corpses of some sort. Take a look for yourselves... The armor is cracked, scored, & bullet-riddled, not to mention the fact that smoke & unholy green light are pouring out of their bodies. I haven't seen any indications of running lights on the Cabal's armor & the Fallen gear seems to have red, orange or blue lights. The fact that it's the same color for both species (to say nothing of the fact that it's pouring out of holes & gaps in their armor) suggests to me that there's more going on here than an simple alliance of species.
