Taken Hobgoblins maintain the same role, being used as snipers by the forces of the Taken. They have lost their Stasis Shield, and in its place gained the Retaliation Swarm. This ability generates three bolts that circle around the Hobgoblin, and fly towards the first enemy that hits them, moving incredibly fast, with tracking abilities, and dealing high [[Void]] damage. Taken Hobgoblins have one Retaliation Swarm charge, but if left alone, they will reactivate it. They are almost always equipped with with a [[Void]] [[Line Rifle]], and usually positioned in elevated or far-away areas so as to more easily snipe at targets.
