Enraged at the death of Crota, Oryx traveled to the Sol System aboard his Dreadnaught seeking revenge but was defeated by the Guardian and escaped to his throne world. His second match with the Guardians resulted in his permanent loss and ended the threat he posed to the Sol System.
This wouldn't mean that his legscy would fade away, however; on Forsaken, it was revealed that, at some point on his campaign on the Sol System, Oryx arrived at the Dreaming City and that he had Taken Riven, the last remaining Ahamkara alive. Riven's last action before being brought down by the Guardians was to cast a curse upon the Dreaming City, making a path way to Savathûn's schemes to use the Distributary's people, the Awoken that did not lived on the Sol System as a literal living battery through sacrifice. The Guardians prevented this, but were forced into a dilemma when they discovered the Dreaming City would literally reset itself unendingly until Dûl Incaru, The Eternal Return, Savathûn's daughter success on reaching the Distributary.
On The Witch Queen, he would be mentioned by his sister Savathûn, when it would be revealed that his sister was tricked by the Witness, and that the Zizigi was a ruse all along.
On the Season of the Deep, Oryx's corpse's final fate was revealed. After Oryx defeat on the Dreadnaught, his corpse floated until it crashed on Titan, one of Saturn's moons, the planet where Oryx finally meeted his end.
