Fearing that Mal's existence would negate the balance of the timeline itself, those people would hire groups of sadistic and abusive murderers to hunt down and kill Lila Bray and Darius Watanabe to prevent them from succeeding in unveiling Fusion to the entire universe, while also sending Maleficent and the Overtakers to a Clovis Bray facility to brutally end the lives of Kaguya and Hendrick, along with their daughter.
