The rifle must be charged for a second before shooting, emitting a distinct sound. The projectile is very fast and highly damaging, but a quick target is cabable of dodging it. It is commonly found in the hands of [[Psion]]s of all ranks, who take pot shots and quickly find cover or reposition themselves.
