Last City: Difference between revisions

The location of the City has been the source of much speculation. One theory, based on the movements of the Sun and the local geography, suggests that the City is located in Nepal.<ref>[http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/38nbqq/the_last_city_is_pokhara_nepal/ '''Reddit''': The Last City is Pokhara, Nepal]</ref> This would place the City in relatively close proximity to the [[Cosmodrome]] in Khazakstan, while benefitting from the natural defenses of the Himalaya mountains. Another places the city in southwestern Canada, because of the geography of the area, and the flora and fauna found near the city in the crucible map Twilight Gap. A third also uses the movements of the sun to place the City in northern Chile, although northern Chile is mostly desert. Still Another theory would put the city in the southern Andes somewhere along the border of Argentina and Chile. This can be made plausible by the idea that the Sun appears to be in the North rather than the south when looking at "North Tower" (indicating a location at least south of the tropics), as well as the quote by the Cryptarch "... [Civilization] once stretched from the frozen north, to the southern tip of this continent". If the Cryptarch is being technically accurate "this continent" would be South America, as settled towns lay further south than the furthest southern African settlements.
