Some time later, [[The Guardian]] arrived on Io, engaging with the [[Red Legion]] stationed there. They met with Asher, and, at his behest, entered the Pyramidion to eliminate the Genesis Mind. Despite encountering heavy Vex resistance, along with taken remaining inside the Pyramidion from [[Ir Arok, Tongue of Quria|a previous incursion]], they successfully reached the core of the structure and fought with Brakion. Unlike the ill-fated expedition of Asher however, the Guardian succeeded in destroying the mind, halting the Vex's efforts to convert Io for now. | |||
