Councilor Verloren was a Loyalist Psion who served Emperor Calus. They were amongst the members of the Psion Council who feared that the Hive could not be controlled and that Calus' attempt to use the Crown of Sorrow to make Gahlran a Shadow of the Hive would fail. Their doubts, alongside those of Councilor Rahl, were reported to the Emperor by Gahlran, and they were subsequently condemned to death for doubting Calus' plans.[1]
