Threshers are used both for strafing runs and for continuous air support. They are armed with a main cannon that fires [[Solar]] explosive rockets, and can also be used for nighttime reconnaissance thanks to their flashlight.

 

Threshers are encountered in many Cabal-related activities. After first flying in, they hover in place in the air, bombarding the players with their rockets. These can be highly lethal, especially on high difficulties. Threshers are also highly resilient, and don't offer a weak spot unlike [[Goliath Tank]]s. However, in many occasions it is not necessary to destroy a Thresher, and they can be ignored to proceed further. When they have to be destroyed, heavy ordnance like [[Drake Tank]] is usually offered. Alternatively, explosive weapons like [[Rocket Launcher]]s are preferable.
