Are there World Events in Rise of Iron? stickΔαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Ηεη... ανψωαψς, νιξε ωορκ. Τηις ις ωηατ Ι υσεδ.

I am not sure. I know they have been talking about doing SRL and Festival of the Lost. They have also hinted at other social activities they plan to introduce for folks who want to do more than race sparrows, but otherwise I do not think they have begun anything event-wise yet. stickArcmind Execute long hold for reactivation. stick AI-COM/ACMD SIGNOFF
Just learned that Taken Lieutenant World Events are still a thing in Rise of Iron. stickΔαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Ηεη... ανψωαψς, νιξε ωορκ. Τηις ις ωηατ Ι υσεδ. 13:03, 2 December 2016 (EST)
Huh. I did not read about that one. Good find. stickArcmind Execute long hold for reactivation. stick AI-COM/ACMD SIGNOFF13:15, 2 December 2016 (EST)
Lacking the game I found out via a YouTube video on reddit. stickΔαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Ηεη... ανψωαψς, νιξε ωορκ. Τηις ις ωηατ Ι υσεδ. 13:27, 2 December 2016 (EST)
Nice! Reddit's got some good stuff. stickArcmind Execute long hold for reactivation. stick AI-COM/ACMD SIGNOFF13:42, 2 December 2016 (EST)
It shows how lazy Bungie really is in developing future content! -- Titan66 (talk) 16:31, 02 December 2016 (EDT)
No, just pragmatic. TTK was their biggest content drop since vanilla Destiny, and the quests from TTK are still relevant in order to level up to current Light-levels, with a lot of the grind taken away. Rise of Iron was crafted by Bungie's Live team, a significantly smaller force of manpower than the entire studio, which is all tied up in working on Destiny 2. Besides, most of ROI's content was focused on Earth with one or two Martian story missions. Now what *could* have been a neat thing is if the Splicers sent an expedition to the Dreadnaught to capture some Taken! stickΔαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, since Oryx and Malok are both dead, the Taken are dissipating and becoming extinct. Except the Hive though, sure they're becoming weaker without their God-King Oryx not around, but they'll be back in Destiny 2. -- Titan66 (talk) 17:34, 02 December 2016 (EDT)
According to Eris the Taken will linger indefinitely until they are wholly exterminated by being killed by Guardians. Given that the Taken War lasted for about a year, total, and the SIVA Crisis came another year later, that's only two years. That's not a long time to the Hive, since they can wage war for millennia. Same thing with the Taken. Except that without Oryx they cannot "respond". The Hive are surely beginning to hunker down and go back to "sleep", like they were doing before we woke them on the Moon. Sure, their leadership is dead, but that doesn't mean they can't hide. stickΔαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Ηεη... ανψωαψς, νιξε ωορκ. I wonder if we kill Oryx's sisters in Destiny 2, will we eventually fight the Worm Gods themselves? -- Titan66 (talk) 17:49, 02 December 2016 (EDT)
Oh no, no, no. That's too big for Destiny 2, which is certainly to be Cabal-based, and related spinoffs will deal with the Vex. It'll most likely be in Destiny 3 or 4 that we face the Hive and Fallen related DLCs -- or it could be reversed, we face the Fallen and have Hive-related DLCs. stickΔαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ.
