You are correct that the moon isn't a planet. But we classify it as a planet here so it goes along with the rest of the worlds. Sgtfrankieboy (talk) 15:19, 18 February 2013 (EST)

But that goes against the point. The Moon isn't a planet. As such, it cannot be labelled as one. :P --TentacleTornado 15:26, 18 February 2013 (EST)
Should we rename the category 'Planets' to 'Worlds' then? Sgtfrankieboy (talk) 15:29, 18 February 2013 (EST)
Perhaps, or something along the lines of "Solar system bodies". Or to create a "Moons" or "Colonies" category, or to simply use the "Locations" category. :P --TentacleTornado 15:38, 18 February 2013 (EST)

Every source I see discussing the Moon in Destiny refers to it as "Moon" rather than "Luna", even official Bungie videos. Should we consider renaming this page to conform with how it is referred to in the Destiny universe?--Mythic (talk) 11:57, 1 October 2013 (EDT)

Yes, of course. You guys can move pages, you know. :P --TentacleTornado 17:57, 7 October 2013 (EDT)
A redirect from Luna to moon was added by someone. --peteypolo 11:59, 7 December 2014 (PDT)

Lights at night[edit]

Has anyone noticed if the Tower can be seen from the moon at night? --peteypolo 11:57, 7 December 2014 (PDT)

Fate of the Hive on the Moon[edit]

With Crota and Oryx dead, will the Vanguard declare a full invasion of the Moon with the Hive completely leaderless and less powerful? -- Titan66 (talk) 23:55, 11 August 2016 (EDT)

Most likely not, though the Hive have lost their leaders, another all out offensive would still be costly given the fact that the Hive still possess greater numbers as well as ogres etc. Take the original destiny for example, Crota was in oversoul throne, and without him the Hive were still a threat to be reckoned with. But who knows, only time will tell. Arcmind (talk) 09:46, 12 August 2016 (EDT)

The Guardians are still reeling from the Great Disaster. In fact we were on the decline until Dinklebot revived the player and had them gallivant all across the system and super-heroically push back major baddies. Even when the Taken War came out we're not at full strength. Think of it -- we lost thousands of Guardians to Crota. And that happened not too long ago in the lore, so we're weak, and its only because of space-magic that we have any kind of foothold against the enemy. Before the player came along, we had no Guardians on Mars because of the Cabal exclusion zone, precious few Guardians on Venus, and those few Guardians the Vanguard deemed experienced enough to brave the Moon. Now thanks to the player Guardians are everywhere, and thanks to Oryx (indirectly) we're expanding our foothold in order to better ward off the Taken. But that doesn't mean we have the strength to take on the Moon Hive. Those that we encounter in Patrol are just the guards; like the Dreadnaught cells there are places there that we haven't explored (gameplay reasons aside) and likely never will until we root out every last Hive and Fallen there is.
