Deletion objectionEdit

Arenas are a form of endgame content that are easier than Raids but still offer challenge. Nightfalls are challenging but are often just filled with more difficult enemy variants. Also, it seems absurd not to have a page on Arenas since they're referenced as something requested.

Court of Oryx is a type of Arena without matchmaking despite being in a Patrol area. This was continued on in Archon's Forge with a pronounced difference, namely you needed a Key to reaccess it. Prison of Elders and its associated Challenge is good, but there should be variety else there'd be a lack of endgame content that isn't Iron Banner or Raids or Nightfall. With Arenas, you can join anybody in battle. It's like Patrol but different. -- Δαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Ηεη... ανψωαψς, νιξε ωορκ. Your mistake is drawing a connection between PoE/CoE and Forge/Court. The former two are for sure a more "Arena" style activities sure, but the later two are an alternative forms of public events. Court and Forge were designed the way they were in part because people did not like the system was PoE, as the waves of enemies and rounds often grew boring and made for uninteresting content. They shifted them into the world to try and kill two birds with one stone: Create shorter repeatable rewarding content, and get people into the barren world. While yes, the experience is very similar, all PVE content in Destiny can basically be chalked up to "Kill the small enemies, then the big enemy". They really don't even play the same, as PoE/CoE are a more similar to a strike, with several encounters within an instance, while Court and Forge are both single encounters that a player triggers with a "key". The fact that CoE evens exists is proof they are different, as CoE is basically Bungie's round two attempt at Arena style gametypes.

So, do we need an Arena page for two game modes? PoE and CoE? I say no, because it seems redundant to have to have a page to connect two already related game types. The PoE and CoE pages on their own explain their rules and parameters, but if it needs to be here it needs to be here. Court and Forge are public events, albeit special ones, so adding them to the public events page makes sense, rather then try to lump them into two gametypes that they don't really belong lumped in with. Those two REALLY shouldn't be on the Arena page at all. --User:Frostywookiee 4:00, 4 June (EDT)

Prison of Elders, The Reckoning, and the Menagerie the only Arena activities?Edit

Court of Oryx and Archon's Forge are not Arenas, but are instead specialized public events. Same thing for Escalation Protocol and the Blind Well. Nowhere does Bungie even confirm or deny this case in matter. So as of now, the Prison of Elders, The Reckoning, and The Menagerie are the only Arena activities that we know of in the Destiny series. --User:Sparta94 17:24, 20 June 2019 (EDT)
