the hive gods or the worms are never mentioned to tithe to the Darkness, Oryx says he can use part of the tribute he receives to commune with and study it but he's not forced to tithe anything above himself
m (citation needed because we know they used sword logic to commune with the Witness (there's also a recent lore card of Xivu Arath sacrifing a knight to do this) but i cant find a reference for the Witness receiving the tribute or standing at the top of the tithing system ... since the sword logic is based on the parasitical relationship between worms and hive, only the worm gods should be at the top, and the Witness doesnt have a worm)
