Ritualist of Xivu Arath is a unique Hive Wizard encountered in the Shattered Realm: Ruins of Wrath mission. As the Ritualists of Xivu Arath, God of War, they provide an immunity shield for important lieutenants through the use of Wrathful energy.

Gameplay

The Ritualists of Xivu Arath are first seen in battle against An Xohol, Jaws of Xivu Arath. When An Xohol's health bar reaches a certain threshold, a Ritualist will spawn nearby to provide an immunity shield to prevent further damage from hitting An Xohol.

Players are required to defeat the Ritualist to drop a special aura known as "Wrathful". Entering this aura will give players the ability to break the shield of An Xohol and help defeat the boss.

In combat the Ritualists will damage players from a mid to long range with its Darkness Blast that incurs Arc damage. They also have the capacity to release a cloud of poison if players enter close combat. This in conjunction with An Xohol's ability to cast poison clouds can be fatal as the cloud can slow down movement speeds, blur vision and deal damage over time through the "Poisoned" debuff. Moving outside of this dark cloud will negate its effect.

Ritualists are an Elite class enemy and have moderate durability. They also have an absorption shield that requires Solar damage to penetrate. Once the shield is dissipated, players are advised to use this opportunity to defeat the Wizard as they will use evasive tactics to hide and regenerate its shield.
