Heretical Knights are specialist Knights seen in the Pit of Heresy, where they defend the Ritual of Suffering within the Scarlet Fortress's depths, retaining the occult energies used in the Hidden Swarm's heretical rituals. They are crucial to the aforementioned encounter and the Tunnels of Despair encounter.

Trivia

• Ever since Beyond Light came out, many uniquely named enemies in Strikes and Dungeons were renamed to their basic naming. The Accursed Swordbearers were one of the few who weren’t renamed to their basic naming, but were instead renamed to Heretical Knights. It is unknown if it was a developer oversight as Heretical Knights already exist in the game.
