Glaives are a new class of melee weapons that will be introduced in the The Witch Queen expansion of Destiny 2.

The weapon features a spear-like design and introduces new gameplay mechanics which will allow players to perform powerful melee combos, fire concentrated blasts of projectiles, and deploy a powerful energy shield.

• Glaives are the first first-person melee weapon to enter the Destiny franchise and the second melee weapon available to Guardians, the first being the Sword.
