Aincrad, also known as the First Realized World and the Nexus of Darkness, is a multidimensional realm that came into existence following the events of the Second Collapse. First revealed during the launch of Sword Art Online, it has now become the host to a new Pyramid and the dark realm of the Shadowkeepers and their notorious legions of various Darkness-affiliated enemy factions, including the House of Shadows, the Shadow Brood, the Shadow Divisive, the Shadow Legion, the Reborn, the Cult of the Scorned, and the Ghosts of Nagasaki.
