The Excavator Valus is a type of Cabal Colossus Valus that oversees Cabal excavation efforts. An Excavator Valus appears as the main boss in the Cabal Excavation Public Event, which can happen in the European Dead Zone, on Nessus and on Io. It will arrive when a Thresher is destroyed, which will appear at about a third of the hijacking's completion. It will land nearby via Drop Pod, and block the hijacking from progressing further, making its defeat the new objective of the event. It will have considerable health, but should be no problem for a group of Guardians fighting in the event. Defeating the Excavator Valus will complete the event, and prompt the Cabal to destroy their Mining Lander.
