Burning Eye is a Legendary Scout rifle first made obtainable in Destiny Year 3. It can be obtained by either achieving Gold Tier in the Trials of Osiris, or going flawless (9-0) and receiving the adept version of it from the crate in the Lighthouse on Mercury. The adept version of this weapon, as with all adept weapons, has the intrinsic perk Snapshot, which allows the wielder to aim down the sights quicker.

Overview

The Burning Eye is a powerful scout rifle earned through participation in the trials of Osiris.

  • Smart Drift Control: Predictable and controllable recoil. Penalty to range.
  • Accurized Ballistics : More range and impact. Increased recoil.

Stat Modifiers

  • Fitted Stock: Increases weapon stability.
  • Explosive Rounds: Volatile payload explodes onimpact, dealing a portion of the weapon's damage in an area.
  • Third Eye: Radar stays active while aiming down this weapon's sights.
  • Zen Moment: Causing damage with this weapon increases this weapon's stability.
  • Smallbore: Increased range and stability. Slower reload, reduced magazine size.
  • Reinforced Barrel: Increased range, reduced stability.

Summary

The Burning eye is a very solid scout rifle, with very high base stability causing it to maintain a very steady rate of fire even while being shot at. The weapon's sights are holographic, and they highlight enemies through distractions such as a Hunter's Smoke and grenades, among other things. While not the most speedy or powerful Scout Rifle in the game, the Burning Eye makes up for it in terms of consistency and handling.
