They appear to be a security force, tasked with protecting Vex projects and Axis Mind's. Despite their best efforts they failed, and the Vault's Axis Mind, [[Atheon, Time's Conflux]] would be destroyed. Later [[Qodron, Gate Lord]] and it's forces would launch an attack in the [[Prison of Elders]], after foreseeing a glorious future which can be achieved by killing a “Light” (possibly a [[Guardian]]).
