'''Acanthos, Gate Lord''' is a [[Vex]] [[Gate Lord]] encountered on [[Nessus]]. Like [[Zydron]] and [[Qodron, Gate Lord]], it is embodied in a massive [[Minotaur]] chassis. It is the first boss encountered in the mission [[Six]].

Acanthos is first encountered in the [[Glade of Echoes]] during the mission [[Six]], combating the invading Fallen forces on [[Nessus]] and blocking the path to the [[Exodus Black]]. Once destroyed, the Vex gate is unlocked, allowing the [[Guardian]] to advance forward.

Acanthos will automatically be seen fighting the [[Fallen]] when entering the [[Well of Echoes]]. It will already have taken damage, as seen by its health bar, and have inferably destroyed the [[Fallen Walker]]s as seen scattered amongst the battlefield. When spotted, the player will be bombarded with [[Void]] blasts from Acanthos while being swarmed by both [[Fallen]] and [[Vex]]. After damaging Acanthos for some amount of time, the Vex Mind will retreat until reaching a barrier, where it will fight the player until dead. Killing the Gate Lord will allow the player to enter the shielded area.
