Nothing Left to Say is the fifth story mission of the Forsaken expansion. Only Uldren Sov and Fikrul, the Fanatic remain of Cayde-6's murderers. Fight through their forces with the aid of Petra Venj and The Spider and confront them at the mysterious Awoken Watchtower.

Transcript[edit]

(Start of Cutscene)

  • The Fanatic: Please. For you, I go… instead. All know… darkness lives here. Death. You are not of Ether. Can't bring… you back.
  • Uldren Sov: All the same.
  • The Fanatic: Yes, Father. We ever serve and await return.
  • Uldren Sov: Go. Inspire… and avenge your murdered friends.

The Fanatic leaves. Uldren looks at the chest and Mara Sov appears.

  • The Queen: There's no more room for fear, dear brother.
  • Uldren Sov: I'm… not afraid.
  • The Queen: Of course not.

Uldren places the Ace of Spades in its holster and picks up a small Shard of the Traveler.

  • The Queen: Oh, Uldren. You have sacrificed like no other. You looked into an abyss, bowed to false kings, and suffered uncountable betrayals. You were humiliated, imprisoned, manipulated… Taken. And still you gave up everything… because you love.

Uldren walks towards Mara Sov

  • The Queen: Please, Brother. Will you walk through hell for me one last time?
  • Uldren Sov: Yes.
  • The Queen: Good. Then let us finish this. Even paradise is a prison… when you can't leave. Free us!

Uldren walks into the barrier.

(End of Cutscene)

  • Ghost: You know what's down there. The Watchtower. The Fanatic. Uldren.
  • Ghost: The end.
  • Ghost: Justice or revenge. Uldren deserves what's coming to him, but…
  • Ghost: Guardian: The "why" of what we're doing is as important as the "what."
  • Ghost: I don't know what you're thinking… but remember that.

Mission begins

The Guardian arrives at the pathway leading to the Watchtower alongside Spider's associates, and engage with Scorn forces.

  • Ghost: Approaching the watchtower on foot.

Petra fires at Scorn, helping clear the way to the Watchtower. Successfully defeating Scorn forces, the Guardian arrives at the entrance to the Watchtower and is confronted by the Fanatic.

  • The Fanatic: You enjoyed killing them?
  • The Fanatic: You enjoyed putting them in dirt-where you belong?

The Fanatic teleports into the Watchtower, creating a barrier to the entrance, and sending his Scorn to defeat the Guardian.

  • The Fanatic: Did it make you feel good?
  • The Fanatic: Kaniks. Reksis Vahn. Yaviks. Pirrha. Araskes. Hiraks.
  • The Fanatic: Tell me… I wish to know how I will feel… when I kill YOU.
  • The Fanatic: Elykris.

The Guardian defeats the Scorn, the Fanatic pulls the Guardian into the Watchtower.

  • The Fanatic: I will pay any price… to be there when you die…

The Guardian defeats the Fanatic, denying him his desire for vengeance.

  • The Fanatic: The Scorn… are… forever…
  • The Ghost: We did it. Only one name left… Uldren Sov.
  • Petra Venj: It's time to end this. For Cayde.

The Guardian begins to traverse through the Watchtower.

  • Petra Venj: Guardian. No one has stood where you are since the Queen closed these doors.
  • Petra Venj: Yours are the first outsiders eyes to ever see this place.
  • Petra Venj: Keep moving. I'll get to you as fast as I can.

Going up the stairs of the Watchtower, the Guardian enters a power into the Ascendant Plane.

  • The Queen: Open the door, Brother.
  • The Queen: OPEN THE DOOR.
  • Uldren Sov: I can't…
  • Uldren Sov: No…

The Guardian enters a portal to return to the maternal plane, arriving further up the Watchtower.

  • The Ghost: The line between dimensional planes is thin here.

Going further up the Watchtower, the Guardian is confronted by Taken, led by Zuuan, Taken by the Voices. Upon defeating the Taken, they discover and inspect a large Awoken crystal.

  • The Ghost: This crystal doesn't match anything the City's geological database.
  • Petra Venj: It wouldn't. You'll see.

The Guardian defeats further Taken forces and enters another portal into the Ascendant Plane.

  • The Queen: Obey me.
  • The Queen: FREE ME.
  • The Queen: FREE ME, O brother mine.
  • Uldren Sov: No. No, no, no, no…
  • Uldren Sov: Something's wrong.

Fighting their way through hordes of Taken led by Sorvox, Taken by the Voices, the Guardian enters a portal to escape the Ascendant Plane and arrive at the heart of the Watchtower to confront Uldren.

(Start of Cutscene)

Uldren's stands at the heart of the Watchtower with the shard in his hand, his corruption becoming rapidly worse. Mara Sov appears behind him.

  • The Queen: You've no idea how fortunate you are to be my chosen.
  • The Queen: You hold the flesh of a god in your hands.
  • The Queen: You are mere steps away from our salvation.
  • The Queen: Only Light and Dark, together, can unlock my way back into your world.
  • Uldren walks forward to the portal.
  • The Queen: That's it… keep going.
  • The Queen: FREE ME!

Uldren reaches out to the portal, the crystal floats form his hand and the Darkness drains from his body, opening the portal. Upon being cleansed from his corruption, Uldren falls to his knees and looks at the portal to see Mara floating towards him.

  • Uldren Sov: Mara?
  • The Queen: Uldren…
  • The Queen: You brave, devoted, pathetic fool.
  • The Queen: Thank you.

Uldren stands up and embraces his sister, closing his eyes. However this is revealed to be the Voice of Riven, wrapping tentacles around his arms. The mad prince opens his eyes to realize the horror in front of him. He screams and attempts to draw the Ace of Spades, however the Voice of Riven knocks it out of his hand and devours him

(End of Cutscene)

The Guardian arrives at the heart of the Watchtower only go be greeted by the Voice of Riven. They battle the Chimera, which banishes them to the Ascendant Plane.

  • Uldren Sov: Noooooo!

Upon defeating an Ascendant Plane Guard, they enter a portal to return to the maternal realm. Continuing the battle, the Guardian attacks the Chimera, which banishes them to the Ascendant Plane once more.

  • Uldren Sov: SISTER! HELP!

The Guardian defeats another Ascendant Plane Guard, entering a portal to return to the Watchtower.

  • Uldren Sov: [screams]

Despite its power, the Guardian slays the Voice of Riven, releasing Uldren.

(Cutscene Begins)

The Guardian walks over to grap the Ace of Spades of the floor and walks towards the wounded Uldren as he attempts to crawl away.

  • Uldren Sov: [struggling]
  • Uldren Sov: [chuckles]

Upon spotting the Guardian walking towards him, Uldren lays down, defeated, as Guardian points the Ace of Spades at him.

  • Uldren Sov: Congratulations. You have my undivided attention.
  • Uldren Sov: Now where's my sister?

Petra Venj: She's not here, Uldren…

Petra runs towards Uldren, pointing her gun at the Awoken Prince.

  • Petra Venj: And if she was…
  • Petra Venj: this would be a whole lot easier.
  • Uldren Sov: So, this is to be a reckoning.
  • Ghost: Wait. Not like this.
  • Ghost: Look at him-he's finished.
  • Ghost: Even with everything he's done, we can't just-
  • Petra Venj: You have no idea what he's done!
  • Petra Venj: If Cayde was here, I know what he would do, Guardian.
  • Petra Venj: Do you?
  • Uldren Sov: Yes.
  • Uldren Sov: What would the notorious Cayde-6 do?
  • Uldren Sov: You have his gun. Seems you get the last word.
  • Uldren Sov: Everything I did, I did for her.
  • Uldren Sov: Funny. The line between Light and Dark is so very thin.
  • Uldren Sov: Do you know which side you're on?

Upon being questioned, the Guardian lowers their gun and thinks to themselves. However they point it back at Uldren and nod. Accepting his demise, Uldren closes his eyes. The screen turns black as Uldren is executed.
