Jakinda is a Guardian who was part of a fireteam with Yael and one other Guardian. After their third fireteam member died a final death at the hands of the Hive, Jakinda and Yael traveled across the Solar System to find and kill the four Hive responsible for their death. Their quest for vengeance brought them to Nereid, where they tracked down and killed their fourth target, In-Atôth. However, in doing so, they had ignored a distress call they picked up en route, and afterwards Jakinda's conscience prompted her to abandon Yael on Nereid and seek out the source of the distress call.
