Defense Lasers are massive emplaced towers that the Seraphs and Warminds placed in defense of key installations.
History[edit]
Battle of the War Gods[edit]
While the Defense Lasers were originally built by the Seraphs during the Golden Age, Xivu Arath, God of War managed to subvert their systems by using her House of Salvation Splicer Wrathborn and her own logic viruses. Guardians were thus forced to contend with these defenses too as they sought to rebuild Rasputin.
Gameplay[edit]
Defense Lasers are a common feature of activities introduced in Season of the Seraph. When these towers are in the area, they will start pointing their lasers at all the players in sight, and will charge their weapon for 15 seconds. When this timer is up, the target will be blown up, instantly dying and damaging any that may be near. Breaking line of sight is the only way to avoid the tower's laser.
Defense Lasers also play a part in the final battles of Heist Battlegrounds. When the boss reaches half health, it will cover itself in an invincible shield, and the only way to break it is to activate the Defense Laser in the area by depositing Arc Charges. The laser will point at the boss for a few seconds and strip it of its shield, rendering it vulnerable for the rest of the encounter.
